We ordered our ovens (as well as the induction cooktop) last December for January delivery dates. Our cabinet maker had the ovens delivered to their location to be sure they built the cabinets to fit the ovens and warming drawer perfectly. We opted for a horizontal install as well as vertically - the standard oven top left with the speed micro to its right lined up horizontally. Below the standard oven is our warming drawer. Mc solaar prose combat rarity. Below the speed micro is the steam oven perfectly lined up vertically with the micro and horizontally with the standard oven and warming drawer. Then the electricians came out and wired them in. Immediately I noticed the number displays on the standard oven and the steam oven have large numbers in a very nice font, but the microwave has the old fashioned typical 'pixelated' microwave numbers that I have on my old $85 dollar unit! I also noticed that the stainless steel panel that houses the controls are different in their construction!

Install Bosch 800 Dishwasher

The microwave version looks cheaper! Bosch has spent a lot of money on the advertising concentrating on the type of install I have - lining your ovens up horizontally and vertically - they proudly state that they are identical! They are not! Through my appliance dealer I contacted Bosch hoping that, perhaps, since my micro was built in February 2014 there might be a later run that matched. Their answer was, 'Well, if you don't like it, just turn off the display on the microwave'! I am floored by this attitude! It seems quite reasonable to me to expect this very simple part of the construction of these ovens to match!!

Our install arrangement even makes it look worse by putting the odd one between the better ones! Well, I am stuck with them now since we had custom cabinetry built to house them. All I can do is pass on the word. Thank you for reading this. Original review: April 22, 2015I bought a Bosch washer & dryer set several years ago.

I was frustrated because if I didn't want the pressed wood (cardboard) exterior so I had to pay more for the plastic model. I had the dryer for about a year and I notice what I thought was the dryer not drying the clothes and turning itself off. But when I turned the dial the light would come on. What is happening is the dial connection is loose or bad. If I push down on the dial the dryer sometimes works.

I have resorted to putting a full bottle of detergent balanced on the dial so it will hopefully stay on long enough to dry anything. It rarely does. Drying clothes in my Bosch Nexxt Premium Dryer is a nightmare and can take HOURS for even one small load. (It all depends how often I am willing to run back downstairs to restart/reset the dial.) What a disappointment. Dryers are such simple things how can they mess it up? But they did. This has been going on for years!

Not sure which is stupider. Me buying the Bosch in the first place or me putting up with it this long.

My experience with Bosch is they are overpriced and poorly made. Who designs anything made out of pressed wood sandings or plastic for a laundry area? They do know there is water in a laundry room? It should have been a sign. Original review: April 21, 2015I installed all Bosch appliances in my kitchen in 12/2011 including the downdraft ventilation system for the gas cook top which came highly recommended. In late February 2015, the fan stopped working and I called a recommended Bosch certified service company to assess the situation.

On 3/2, he came out and determined that the bearings on the motor were shot and I needed a new motor. On 3/9, he returned with the new motor, installed it and the vent did not go above the low speed. His prognosis was that the capacitor needed replacing and he would order that. He returned on 3/19 to replace the capacitor and the vent still did not work. He then decided it was the control board and ordered a new control board.

He returned on 3/30, installed the new control board and the fan still did not work. At this point, he decided it must be the new motor, re-installed the original capacitor and control board and ordered another motor.

On 4/8, he returned to install the new motor and the fan/vent is finally working after 6 weeks.I am absolutely flabbergasted that all of this would go wrong after only 3 years. I work full-time and do not cook a great deal which is even more mysterious. The final blow came when I learned there is only a 1-year warranty on the motor. The repairman told me the bearings looked and the fan sounded much older than a 3-year-old motor. Given that the second new motor didn't work, I am questioning the quality of your products. I would also be interested to know if you have experienced this problem with other customers or if I was the only one that got a lemon twice?

Needless to say, I am totally disappointed in your product and am hoping there is a way you can resolve this to my satisfaction and reimburse me for the cost of the motor. The service company was good enough not to charge me for all of the additional labor; however, the cost of the new motor and original installation was $541.00 not to mention all of the time I had to take off work to be here for the service calls. I can provide my original sales receipt from Mountain High Appliance in Louisville, CO as well as a copy of the invoice from Best Service Co. I look forward to hearing from you and hope you will stand by your products. Original review: April 20, 2015Bosch, a German company known for their engineering, engineered a three-piece door handle for their refrigerator. The handle consist of an elongated handle that is attached to the door by two small plastic pieces; one at the top of the handle, and one at the bottom of the handle.

The small plastic piece that attaches the bottom part of the handle to the door cracked dislodging the bottom support for the handle. I ordered the replacement part from the retailer and was told that the whole handle had to be bought. A $.50 piece of plastic cracks and Bosch expect the consumer to replace the whole handle; estimated replacement, $125-$150. Bosch Customer Service suggested that I pay for a service call to see why the $.50 piece of plastic cracked. Original review: April 14, 2015I would NEVER recommend a Bosch dishwasher to anyone. I bought the top of the line based on previous reliability of Bosch products.

What I never expected was that they would REFUSE to stand behind their warranty. My dishwasher has completed less than 100 loads in total - or about $30 a load. Not even close to value for money in my opinion. It started leaking and triggering the dreaded E:15 within 5 months of install.

When a pinhole leak was discovered in the machine the certified repair tech told us he had never seen this and it was clearly a manufacturing defect. Bosch, decided not to look at it and refused to honour the warranty. Now I guess we get to work with consumer affairs. I am happy to share photos for all to see. Original review: April 14, 2015Our Bosch washing machine is just 4 years old, with very light use and the main bearing has failed.

The drum has come loose and caused friction so that it has melted, with smoke from the machine and had to be turned off to prevent a fire. Bosch have not accepted that this is a fault and have refused to inspect the damage. I do not expect this quality from the manufacturer, previous machines have lasted 6 to 8 years. We are faced with an expensive repair or a replacement machine. Original review: April 5, 2015I have been using Bosch Dishwashers since 1986.

I purchased my first Bosch Dishwasher while living in Rauenberg Germany. Had no problem with the machine. On my return to Canada in 1993 I kept the machine, had to have a 220 line installed in house to use machine. In 2013 decided to buy another Bosch machine. I quickly found out there is a difference in quality of machines made in Germany than the ones in North America. I have had nothing but problems with my new Bosch Model SHE3ARF2UC/08 SilencePlus 50 dBA. Every month once or twice a month the machine would not drain.

Saying blockage of drain. Dishes are washed off prior to been placed in machine. Problem still persisting. This is a regular problem with this machine.

Time to look for another brand. Had enough of this problem. Resolution response: July 18, 2015After months of going back and forth, Bosch has taken back the dishwasher and I have exchanged it for another brand.

Original review: April 4, 2015I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model number SHP65TL6UC for $849.00 From the first day I used it, it had a terrible smell. It was NOT cleaning the dishes I was first told because I was not suppose to be rinsing the dishes. I stopped rinsing the dishes. Wrote Bosch an email, which was never answered. Went back to appliance store with my concerns, was told to run the hot water on my sink before turning on the machine. Tried that, still not cleaning. Appliance store sent a service person to look at machine, turned hot water up on hose.

Still not cleaning. Wrote a negative review on their site. Checked it a couple of days later, they removed the review and blocked anyone from placing another review for that model. I wrote an other comment of FACEBOOK. I was answered and told to call customer service.

I was told by customer service that the model I purchased was made to be used everyday and that is why the dishes aren't being cleaned because I only turn it on a couple times a week. Went back to appliance store, he said he was going to show and for me to bring him my dirty dishes, which I did the next day. The representative at Bosch said that because I was using liquid Finish that there is too much oil and that is why the dishes are so dirty. Still trying to get results from BOSCH, I want to return machine and get refund. My 20 year old Kenmore cleaned dishes better than my new BOSCH.

Original review: March 25, 2015One month after the one year warranty expired this (NET8654UC electric) cooktop started flashing an F9 code and wouldn't turn on. Bosch was good and replaced the motherboard twice and we paid for the service call twice. It worked for 6 months. Then the F9 code came back and the unit won't work. Bosch replaced the motherboard again last week but this time the F9 won't go away. We paid for another service call.

The service guy now says the ceramic glass top needs replacing. The Bosch tech agreed with the field service guy. Bosch is reviewing our case. At what point is this just a lemon? Original review: March 13, 2015Purchased new Bosch 800 Series dishwasher (Model #SHE68T55YC/01) on 7/26/13, replacing 15-year-old Bosch dishwasher. Now, the lettering on the fascia panel is coming off-'DELAY' gone completely-out of warranty according to Bosch Customer Service.

New fascia panel cost $73.00 plus cost of technician to come out to replace (which the rep neglected to tell me after taking all my info. I just happened to ask before hanging up.) Ridiculous. A little tacky but I have used a permanent marker to mark controls.

Original review: March 7, 2015Bosch 500 series 44-decibel - I purchased the Bosch model SHP65T52UC in January 2015. I love the 3rd drawer for silverware, and that it has a 30 minute wash cycle if I want to use it. What I don't like is that I find it hard to place my dishes and have to be careful with tall glasses or they will hit against the 3rd shelf. Also, I noticed that it harbors moisture because there is no drying element inside and after a day there is a bad order like rotting garbage so I have to wipe down the sides and back or leave the door open so it dries.

Bosch

At the time, Bosch offered free installation so I got a refund in the form of a prepaid Visa card. It worries me about all the negative reviews, but so far so good. I purchased through Lowe's which has great customer service and installation people. Original review: March 6, 2015We purchased a Bosch washing machine a few years ago and noticed that mold grows on the inside of the rubber gasket. We later found out that there is a class action suit for this machine. I called Bosch and scheduled an appointment and the man called in sick and did not show up. I took a day off from work for this repair and they let me know 20 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive.

Bosch Dishwasher Installation Manual

I told them that the next time if they do not give me sufficient notice I would send them a bill. I also told them since they were scheduling me for another day, that meant they were agreeing to my terms. The second time I took a day off they called and told me that the man did not have the part with him. I told them that I was sending them a bill and the woman told me that they do not reimburse people. Original review: March 4, 2015I bought a brand new Bosch.

It had a small dent on the front of the door so I was able to get it at a discount. When I got it home it did not work. All of the cooling tubes were twisted inside the refrigerator. The repairman came three times and all three times he said 'Bosch should replace it.' I have called them every day and they never call me back. After three weeks of arguing about the price I paid for the fridge, They finally said they will replace it.

I called again today after the fourth week of waiting and they now say its under review again. DO NOT BUY BOSCH!!!

Original review: March 2, 2015I bought this oven in Jul 2011. Over the past year the grill filament started to warp. It is now extremely warped and quite dangerous, soon likely to snap, and then the oven will be unusable. This has happened through normal and moderate use of the product. I have contacted Bosch (it took many many emails to get a reply) and they say they don't view it as a product fault or design defect, but as an isolated incident. They won't repair it for free, as I requested, but instead demand around 100 to repair it. Original review: Feb.

26, 2015Unfortunately I am one of those that got no help from Bosch. They said there is nothing they can do and that I would have to pay $99 for them to send someone out. And that only covers the first 18 minutes of diagnostics. From there it was $120/hr. This microwave is part of an oven combo unit that cost over $2200 so it is not as simple as just replacing the microwave either. Thought I was getting a high end product but I guess not. Beware of Bosch less you find yourself hoping you win the customer service lottery of whether they choose to help you or not.

BTW, this unit is only 26 months old. Original review: Feb. 19, 2015Awful customer service. Dishwasher wasn't getting water or getting hot. I had to wait four days for them to even come out. Guy is there about 5 minutes and says it needs a new water valve.

And guess what? Doesn't have it on his truck. And double guess what? He can't come back until March 2nd. (Today is February 19th). I call customer service to complain and they say he's booked up but maybe, maybe he can come out on February 26th between 8 and 5.

If you live in Washington DC don't buy a Bosch dishwasher. Did I add that this dishwasher is only 2 1/2 years old? Is there a half star? Original review: Feb. 15, 2015We replaced our 20 yr old Maytag with a Bosch. It arrived the first week of Jan. I never liked how my dishes fit in it.

Glasses tipped over and it was hard to fit in mugs and bowls. I noticed that there was an orange greasy residue near the door hinge after each cycle. I made it a practice to clean that area every time I emptied the machine. We used the Finish Powerballs and rinse agent. Our water heater is new and the water is very hot. Then I noticed a smell when drinking from a glass. This morning there was an odor from the machine when I went to empty it.

Nothing in the filter. Smelled like a wet dog. Returning machine.

Original review: Feb. 9, 2015After 40 years, it was finally time to purchase a brand new washer/dryer set.

Since I had lived in Europe, I had a high opinion of Bosch appliances and choose Bosch as my brand (Model #WFMC5301UC 16-496151) for both the washer and dryer. It was a huge mistake. Two years after purchase, I had to replace the entire front door, which wouldn't close properly.

Now, the same door has a crack at the base (even though I gently lift and close the door from the base for each use) and the water slowly trickles down to the floor. Original review: Feb. 9, 2015Bosch refrigerator problems. Bosch 800 Series B26FT70SNS /04 25.9 cu. French Door Refrigerator has issues and failures. The first issue is the crushed ice maker. It does not crush all the ice as my old GE unit did (or any other brand I have ever used).

The Bosch unit only breaks some ice cubes in half, others it only will chip a corner off and only a few seem to come out mostly crushed. The lack of ice crushing has been confirmed by Bosch as normal for this unit.

If you like fully crushed ice and not almost complete ice cubes mixed in with it, I would not recommend this refrigerator. The next two problems are more serious. Firstly, after swapping out the ice maker with a new unit to try to solve what we now know to be an unsolvable problem, the new ice maker unit has failed completely; it no longer makes ice and of course it is now out of warranty. I wrote an e-mail to the Bosch representatives who helped me the first time with this problem however they did not respond to my e-mail. The second failure is much more critical.

The refrigerator intermittently stops working! Occasionally, the Bosch Series B26FT70SNS stops getting cold!

Bosch Dishwasher Control Facia Panel Replacement

That's all the darn thing needs to do and it fails doing it! I'll come home to a puddle of water on the floor, the food in the freezer is thawed out and the refrigerator is warm! After cycling the power by turning off the circuit breaker sometimes it will start working, and sometimes it starts again by itself. I lost food and had to clean up a mess.I wrote another e-mail to the Bosch representatives about the ice maker and cooling failure, but again they did not respond to either of my e-mails. Because the Bosch representatives have been unresponsive on these last two problems it tells me that they do not want to get involved with defective products or product problems.Because I went with all BOSCH products in my new kitchen (Double oven, cooktop, range hood, dishwasher, warming draw, refrigerator) I am now terrified as to which product may fail next and the difficulty in communicating with factory representatives.

I regret my decision of selecting all BOSCH appliances. As of this posting I have not heard back from Bosh.Based on my experience with multiple failures of my Bosch 800 Series B26FT70SNS /04 25.9 cu.

French Door refrigerator I cannot recommend purchasing this unit. Original review: Feb. 5, 2015Bosch dishwasher SHE55M15UC/64 - Purchased about 15 months ago through online website. Have had trouble with dishes drying since bought. Last month, the fascia panel (handle) broke.

It is made of plastic and very cheaply constructed. Have since learned through reading others' reviews that it is a recurrent issue. Contacted Bosch, and told that it is 3 months out of warranty. They were going to email me part information and never did so. Am currently replacing stove and ovens, and initially considering Bosch models. Will go with a different manufacturer at this point.

Original review: Jan. 25, 2015When we moved into a new house in 2009, we bought and installed a Bosch SHE45M05UC/50 dishwasher. It worked fine until about 2012. At that point cups on the top started coming out of the machine with white grit on the inside/outside. The same crud collected in the slides of both racks, along the seal of the door, and on the door where the plastic plate is on the top rack as well as other places. Now dishes on the bottom sometimes also have this gritty crud on them when we pull them out. We have a water softener so it isn't hard water, and the filters have been repeatedly scrubbed and rinsed.

I always check to make sure the spray arms are able to rotate freely before I shut the door and turn it on. I've had a trusted repairman out here twice and he can't figure it out.

I read other posts about the circulation pump possibly being an issue but haven't had it replaced. I'm wondering if others have and if so, did it help? I certainly wouldn't buy another Bosh appliance. Our old GE dishwasher lasted 10 years and cleaned fine even if it was quite noisy. I contacted Bosch and they told me in order to return the dishwasher I needed the original receipt. I couldn't find it and Lowes eventually found it in their records and sent it on to Bosch.

It took about 6 months working with Bosch to get to this point. It also involved several store managers. Once all the paperwork had been turned in I heard nothing from Bosch.

Several weeks passed and I finally called. They told me the dishwasher would not be replaced. Instead, Lowes replaced the dishwasher. Thank you Lowes!I found the company EXTREMELY difficult to work with. I think they knew from the beginning they were not going to replace the dishwasher, but they had Lowes and me jump all kinds of hoops anyhow.

I do not recommend purchasing a Bosch dishwasher. The only thing I could figure out was that something had been left inside the dishwasher causing the problem.

Bosch denied this and said it couldn't happen. I replaced the Bosch with a KitchenAid. It works great and is made in America.
